Papetura: A Handcrafted Puzzle Adventure Game Made Entirely from Paper
Papetura is a unique handcrafted puzzle adventure game that is made entirely from paper. It is developed by Petums and is licensed as a full version. The game is set in a paper world and follows the story of Pape and a little creature Tura, as they journey together to save their world from burning.
The game features everything made out of paper, including tiny bugs, strange creatures, mysterious places, and puzzles. The atmospheric and beautiful music of Floex - Tomas Dvorak adds to the charm of the game. The puzzles are a part of the world, and the story is told through animation and pictures, with no dialogues.
Papetura is inspired by classic adventure games such as Neverhood and Machinarium, many stopmotion movies, and paper sculptures. The team behind the game consists of game designer Tomasz Ostafin (Petums), music artist Tomas Dvorak Floex, and sfx artist Juraj Mravec. After many years of gluing and cutting, Papetura is finally released in 2019.
